Such a great family owned spot! I got matzah ball soup and chicken pot pie and it was delicious! The soup was so filling and the matzah was perfect. The latkes were thick and also very delicious! My parents got a hotdog, corn beef sandwich and a knish. We also had dessert and it was perfect. The personal size cheesecakes. The owner and her sons constantly checked up on us. Food was delicious and service was wonderful! Highly recommend! The bathrooms were also very clean!

I came here with my grandparents for lunch. I’ve had an amazing Pastrami on rye with mustard from Katz’s in New York City. It’s phenomenal but This place compares. The size of the sandwich’s are well portioned and it’s extremely close to it. If your looking for one of the best pastrami sandwiches in North Jersey, go here. Staff is amazing, extremely friendly. The price was right for 4 people, super reasonable. This isn’t a payed review, it’s just damn good food.

Pastrami House is hands down one of the best deli experiences I’ve had in a long time. As someone who loves great pastrami and corned beef, I have pretty high standards, and this place exceeded every one of them. The meat was incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned, and piled high without sacrificing quality. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Even if you’re not a pastrami or corned beef fanatic, you’ll leave impressed—it’s simply an outstanding sandwich. What really made the experience stand out was the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly, patient, and welcoming. I was there with my three-year-old son, and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. They treated us like regulars and made sure we had everything we needed, which goes a long way when you’re dining with a young child. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d hope for from a neighborhood deli—clean, inviting, and comfortable. The location is convenient, the portions are generous, and the prices are more than fair for the quality of food you’re getting. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right: incredible food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Pastrami House has earned a custome

Such a cute spot! We stopped in for a late lunch and had the best sandwiches. Absolutely loved the Rachel— the flavors were bold and delicious. We happened to meet the owner, Jeff, and he was such a nice guy! Can’t wait to go back

Absolutely flavorless meat. Ordered pastrami. sandwiches and received corned beef. Website says its house cured and pepper crusted (it is NOT). Ordered sandwiches toasted (they were NOT). $17 each for flavorless WRONG sandwiches. Place says its a jewish deli but served the (yellow?) potato salad covered in bacon. (No clue why its yellow and looks NOTHING like the photo on their menu). Ordered 2 types of pickles and received old rotten pickles. Knish is a frozen product that was cooked in old oil, and is incredibly greasy. Chicken soup is bland, tastes like store bought low sodium broth with egg noddles thrown in. Mustard and "russian" dressing are def store bought and not homemade. Spent $70 for inedible food. Included photos from their menu and what we received. ** Beware of the additional $2 "software tip" that they automatically include unless you manually uncheck it. Husband is jewish and his family owned a jewish deli for years ans he was pretty disappointed. We dont mind paying up for a delicious meal but this was not it. We have been to Pastrami House in Berkeley Heights and enjoyed it. This was terrible.Stick with Eppes and Essen in Livingston.
